Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell markedly in east Uttar Pradesh, fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 27: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 27: Partly cloudy sky. Mist/fog till forenoon.
