Paharganj money changer’s murder case cracked
New Delhi, December 17
With the arrest of one Rajeev Dhaiya, alias Raju, a resident of Sonepat, the North-West district claims have solved a sensational abduction-cum-murder case of trader Dalip Kumar Sahajwani (37) in the Paharganj area of Central district on December 13.

Mathura jeweller’s loot case solved, three arrested
Greater Noida, December 17
The Surajpur police have cracked the case of looting of a Mathura jeweller, just before Diwali, by arresting three seasoned criminals. Goods worth lakhs have been recovered from them which include Rs.1.50 lakh in cash and 10 kg of silver, along with a revolver, cartridges and knives, according to Superintendent of Police S P Singh.

BJP yet to elect House leader; Khurana quits seat

Member of Parliament Madan Lal Khurana on Wednesday morning submitted his resignation to the Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly. Khurana, who is a sitting member of Lok Sabha from the Sadar parliamentary constituency in Delhi, vacated the Moti Nagar seat that he won in the December 1 Assembly election.

With the arrest of two persons, the East district police claimed to have busted a gang which was involved in preparing fake documents and also used to appear as sureties in the courts under different names with the help of documents.

New Delhi, December 17
Crime Branch of the Delhi Police today claimed to have busted a job racket with the arrest of two suspects. They were identified as Jawahar Lal Jatana and Arvind Kumar Sinha. They were arrested for allegedly indulging in the issuance of fake appointment orders for the posts of Assistant Manager and Cargo Loaders in Airport Authority of India for exchange of Rs 50, 000 to Rs 2,00,000 each.

Oxford High School, Aizawal (Mizoram) will take on Govt High School, Tamaloo (Carnicobar) in the under-17 final of the Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium. In the semi-finals played on Wednesday, Oxford School defeated Town High School, Sundergarh (Orissa) 4-1 while the Carnicobar School toyed with Kabiraj Tilla High School, Agarthala 4-0.
