Katrina Kaif NIFD slaps another case on Katrina
Chandigarh, September 7
The spat between the city-based National Institute of Fashion Design (NIFD) and the model-turned-actress Katrina Kaif over the alleged breach of contract for performing at an NIFD-organised fashion show at Nagpur later this month, has turned uglier. After filing a civil suit against Katrina, NIFD has now moved the district court for registration of a case against the Bollywood actress for the alleged criminal breach of trust and cheating under Sections 406, 415, 417, 418, 420, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code.

Case against driver of killer ambulance
Kharar, September 7
The Kharar police has registered a case against the driver of the ambulance of a Kurali hospital, Harjinder Singh, under Sections 279, 337, 338, 304 and 427 for negligent driving which led to an accident on the Kharar-SAS Nagar road near Daon village in which three persons were killed late last night.

A colourful cultural programme and award giving ceremony to the best polytechnics in the northern region marked the 36th annual day celebrations of the Technical Teachers’ Training Institute (TTTI), Sector 26, here today. The function also marked the conclusion of two-day national seminar on “Vocational education and training” in which at least 60 participants from all over the country participated.
