Talent Hunt-2002 a big draw

Talent Hunt-2002 was organised by the local Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College today.

Prof P. S. Sethi, Dean Cultural Activities, welcomed the Principal and highlighted the objectives of the competition. The guest of honour, Mrs S. Verma, Principal, SDP College for Women, inaugurated the function.

Principal Gurdip Singh exhorted the students “to strive, to seek and to find” new avenues for achieving distinction in studies and extra-curricular activities and bring laurels.

The competition witnessed keen contests in choreography, songs/ ghazals, mono-acting, skits and poetical recitation. Prof Bedi, Hargunjot and Arvinder compered the show. The chief guest, Mr Malwinder Singh Jaggi, Public Grievances Officer, gave away the prizes to the winners.

Amit Berry was adjudged Mr GGN, while Jagpreet Singh was declared Mr GGN Fresher. The first prize in choreography solo was bagged by Atul, while Harkawal and party were the winners in group choreography. Nitin Nayyar won the first place in mono-acting. The best skit prize was won by Rupesh and party . In music, Gagandeep Singh was adjudged winner in “geet”, while Jagpreet Singh was adjudged best in group song. The poetical recitation prize was won by Anish.

Koshish-2002 kicks off today

Ludhiana, September 26
Koshish-2002, intra college cultural festival, will be inaugurated by Mr Tej Parkash Sing, Cabinet Minister of Transport, Punjab, at Punjab College of Technical Education here tomorrow at 9.00 a.m. Mr Malkiat Singh Dakha, MLA will preside over the function.

Stage events like solo dance, flower arrangement, sell it western solo, instrumental solo, mime, western group dance, college play and choreography are scheduled on Friday.

Face painting, shot skit, Indian group dance, fashion show will be organised on the second day i.e. on Saturday.

The function will conclude with the distribution of prizes on September 28 at 8.30 pm.
