Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in eastern Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Eastern Uttar Pradesh: Bhatpurwaghat, Ballia, Ghazipur, Katerniaghat, Mirzapur, Sultanpur and Turtipar 3 each, Ayodhya, Elginbridge and Mukhlispur 2 each and Birdghat and Lucknow (controlroom) 1 each and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 25: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and eastern Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, western Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 25: Generally cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershowers in some areas.
