Mobile phone recovered from jail inmate, booked

Kapurthala, November 13
The police has booked an inmate of Kapurthala Modern Jail from whose possession a mobile phone and a sim card was recovered on Monday.

Assistant Jail Superintendent Manjit Singh in his complaint stated that Jail Warden Gurbhej Singh, while patrolling near the barrack number 9 on Monday morning, found some suspicious activity in the barrack. During checking, Manjit recovered a black-coloured Nokia phone, bearing IMEI 3566780536422, and a sim (9646738506) from a jail inmate, Des Raj.

A case under Sections 42 and 43 of the Prisons Act was registered against Des Raj at the Sadar police station.
