Petrol price slashed by Rs 3 per litre

In a major relief to the consumers, petrol prices were slashed by Rs 3 per litre today. The steepest cut in the petrol prices over the past five years came following continuing fall in crude prices in the global market.

SC lambasts CBI, government over coal scam report
New Delhi, April 30
The Supreme Court today said the “intrusion” by Law Minister Ashwani Kumar and officials of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Coal Ministry into the CBI probe into the coal allocation scam “has shaken the entire process” and asked CBI Director Ranjit Sinha to give all details in this regard within a week.
