One booked for making girl’s MMS
Nawanshahr, April 16
The police has registered a case against Gurinder Singh of Urapar village for allegedly preparing a MMS of a girl of the same village and threatening her to upload the same on the internet. A case under Sections 354/ 509/504/ 502/34 of the IPC was registered at Sadar police station on the basis of the complaint lodged by Rajinder Kaur, mother of the victim.

Family of 8 pledges its bodies

In a rare gesture, eight members of a family pledged to donate their bodies for medical research to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh. Giving details, Jaswinder Singh Patti of Sankalp Welfare and Awareness Society (SWAS), a local NGO said the society had been mobilising people to come forward for the noble cause and facilitated them to complete the formalities for fulfilling their wish.

One booked for making girl’s MMS

Nawanshahr, April 16
The police has registered a case against Gurinder Singh of Urapar village for allegedly preparing a MMS of a girl of the same village and threatening her to upload the same on the internet.

A case under Sections 354/ 509/504/ 502/34 of the IPC was registered at Sadar police station on the basis of the complaint lodged by Rajinder Kaur, mother of the victim.

In her complaint, she said when her daughter was taking bath at 6.30 am, she suddenly cried that someone was there outside the bathroom.

They saw a young man, later identified as Gurinder Singh, trying to flee from the site.

Later, they found a note dropped by him in which he had asked the victim to call on his mobile number about her MMS prepared by him in the bathroom otherwise the MMS would be uploaded on YouTube.

The complainant had also accused her neighbour Paramjit Kaur of hobnobbing with Gurinder to malign her daughter.

The donors Krishan Kumar Bhatia, Bhim Dev Bhatia, Vijay Rani Bhatia, Prem Rani Bhatia, Darshana Bhatia, Dharamvir Bhatia, Sushil Kumar Bhatia and Vidya Bhatia were honoured by the Anatomy Department of the GMCH Chandigarh for their gesture.
