Haryanavi film 'Kunba' on ills of social disorder
Rewari, January 14 Thus when he was the master of all he surveyed, his eldest son, who is a Major in the Army, is abruptly killed in an Army operation against the terrorists while Babu Ji himself suffers an attack of cerebral haemorrhage. This gives a shattering blow to Kunba unity and other values resulting in Babu Ji expulsion from home and his lodgment in an old-age home at the hands of his remaining two sons and their wives who start treading a pathetic course. Thus while Babu Ji languishes in the old-age home, the entire family stands bereft of his elderly patronage. The film is thus a veritable portrayal of the ills of the present-day social order in which elderly people miserably suffer because of the callous indifference of the young generation. The story of the film, whose shooting was carried out in Rewari, Gurgaon, Kurukshetra and Kaithal old-age home, has been scripted by Vijay Bhatotia, a seasoned artist-cum-story writer of the Ahirwal region, who also spiritedly plays the role of Babu Ji in the film. While noted Bollywood stars-Kadar Khan and Mushtaq Khan lend luminosity to the film, Haryanavi cast comprising of
Uttam Kumar, Kavita Joshi, Rekah Chaudhary, Preeti Karde, Jyoti Chaurasia, Virender Kaushik, Shailender Kataria and child artistes Suraj Yadav, Baby Vrinda Gupta and Diya Kataria provide emotion-charged performances in it. Along with a celebrated Bollywood maestro Ravinder Jain, Haryanavi musicians- JP Kaushik and Ashok Verma have scored music for it whereas the songs, composed by lyricists- Satpal Deshwal, Subhash Sharma and Angrez Singh, have been warbled by vocalists- Suresh Wadekar, Mohammad Aziz, Vinod Rathore, Shiv Nigam, Gulab Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Dilraj Kaur and Jaswinder Narula. Kurukshetra, January 14 HSNM general secretary Mohan Lal Dhiman said the caste was unchangeable and it was easier to certify the same by authorities. On the other hand, it was difficult to certify the economic condition of a person as the nation had already faced the situation, in which BPL cards were being grabbed by influential persons while the poor had been ignored," Dhiman said. "The persons, earning crores of rupee, can easily get the lower-income certificates on the basis of false documents. The government provides crores of rupees as grants and land to caste-based schools, dharamshalas and other institutions, which are serving the public at large," Dhiman said. He said the people from lower castes were educationally backward. "Privatisation of education had increased the problem because the rules for reservation are being openly violated.
