Teenaged girl raped

Tarn taran , November 27
Kulwant Singh, alias Kanta (25), a resident of Rattoke village, 30 km from here, has been booked by the Chohla Sahib police for allegedly raping a teenaged girl of the same village. The incident occurred a week ago, while the case was registered only late last evening. The police said a case under Sections 376, 452 of the IPC was registered against the accused. The victim, in her statement recorded to the police, said the accused focibly entered her house when she was alone. He locked her in a room of the house and escaped from the spot when the father of the victim came to the house. Surjit Singh, ASI, investigating office (IO), said the accused had been taken into custody.
