Centre ready for amnesty to Kashmiri ultras in PoK

In a major confidence-building measure, the Centre today expressed readiness to facilitate return of all Kashmiri youth who had gone to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) and wish to come back denouncing militancy.

PGI all set for jumbo expansion
New Delhi, February 11
Decks were today cleared for a massive expansion of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in accordance with the Union Government Act, which requires all centrally funded educational institutes to implement 27 per cent OBC quota in admissions. Taking up a related proposal from the Health Ministry, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the expansion of the premiere institute in North India, which would need additional seats, faculty and infrastructure to implement the 27 per cent quota over a period of three years.

26/11 accused Ansari’s lawyer shot dead

26/11 accused Fahim Ansari's lawyer Shahid Azmi was today shot dead at his office in suburban Kurla, the police said. Four assailants barged into his office in Taxi Men colony in Kurla and shot two bullets into him at point blank range, they said. 

Fresh wave of cyber attacks hits India Chandigarh, February 11 Computer networks at sensitive establishments have experienced a second wave of cyber attacks from foreign-based hackers. Sources in the intelligence reveal that fresh attacks began on January 28 and about 25 computers were targeted.
