300 Shiv Sainiks held in Ayodhya

Faizabad, October 10

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been imposed in the district, including Ayodhya, till October 31 ahead of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s proposed Ayodhya march, even as state president of the Shiv Sena Vijay Tiwari and 300 others were arrested today for causing “breach of peace”.
The Shiv Sainiks were arrested in Ayodhya for shouting slogans demanding permission to hold a meeting in Ram Katha park tomorrow.

US court gives Sodhi’s killer death

A 44-year-old American convicted of killing a Sikh from Punjab four days after the September 11 terror strikes was today sentenced by a court in Arizona where execution is carried out by lethal injection.
