New Delhi, April 27
Amid a deepening chasm between the BJP and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, the latter today met Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and the top state BJP leadership, but Ms Mayawati claimed that the current political situation was not discussed at the meeting.

India’s domestic carrier Indian Airlines has stepped in to lift stranded passengers from the Gulf after Air-India cancelled 37 flights from the region beginning today till the end of the month due to the strike by its pilots over the SARS epidemic.
