Abohar Vehicle thief held: Two miscreants on Monday stole two jeeps from the sub-divisional judicial and administrative complex. However, people nabbed one of the culprits as the speeding jeep collided head on with a car. Ludhiana Man, parents booked: The city police have booked three persons in a dowry harassment case. The accused have been identified as Puneet Ummat, his father, Narinder, and mother, Suman, all residents of New Tagore Nagar, Haibowal. His wife, Rakhi, told the police that soon after their wedding in March 2011, the trio started harassing her. The three suspects are are yet to be arrested. Robbers strike at jewellery shop: Six robbers struck at a jewellery shop on Gyaspura road and decamped with 1kg of silver and 100 grams of gold ornaments. The incident took place at around 8pm when the six persons entered the jewellery shop on the pretext of returning some jewellery.
