Vidhan Sabha Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal will be the chief guest. He will unfurl the national flag take the salute at the parade.

Drug peddler nabbed

The city police have arrested a person and recovered 120 gm of drug powder from his possession here today. The accused has been identified as Aman Kumar, a resident of Johewal. According to the information, the cops established a check point at Udam Singh Nagar to keep vigil on anti-social elements. They stopped the accused and recovered the narcotics while a search. A case has been registered against the accused.
