CRRID asst prof presents papers
Chandigarh: Manoj Kumar Teotia, an assistant professor at the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Chandigarh, attended the XVIII ISA World Congress of Sociology organised by International Sociological Association at Yokohama, Japan, from July 13 to 19. Teotia coordinated several sessions at the Congress in which experts from Mexico, Nigeria, Sweden, Russia, Indonesia, Columbia and India gave their presentations. Teotia presented two papers on "Institutional and peoples' response to cope with growing urban challenges: A case of women's participation and leadership in urban poverty alleviation in Chandigarh" and "Housing poverty in urbanising India: Emerging trends and concerns".
