No let-up in fire incidents
Ludhiana, June 12
Firefighters try to douse flames at the factory Stocks worth lakhs were gutted in a fire that broke out at Venus Factory on the Jalandhar bypass. The fire was notice at around 9:35 am. Though no casualty was reported, material, including thread, was destroyed in the fire. Rajinder Sharma, Fire Officer, said the fire was put out by 11:50 am.

After the Head Post Office, core banking services will be extended to sub-post offices and subsequently to village post offices in Ludhiana With core banking services (CBS) all set to begin at the Head Post Office (HPO), Senior Postmaster Swaraj Kaur has asked account holders to get their accounts verified by June 23. All saving schemes, including saving account, monthly-income scheme, public provident fund scheme, recurring deposit, senior citizen saving scheme and recurring account, will now be a part of the CBS offered at the post office.
