No power meters have been installed outside residences of Haryana ministers in Sector 12-A, Panchkula The Electricity Department has bended rules for Haryana ministers having residences in Sector 12-A, here. Though officials of the department in the city are ensuring that electricity meters are installed outside the houses of residents in order to curb power thefts as per government directions, the ministers in Sector 12A have been given "special treatment" in this regard.

Bus driver booked for rash driving
Chandigarh: A passenger was injured after he fell down from a moving bus at the Tribune Chowk here today. The police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the driver of the bus (RJ-05-PA-2395) Murari Lal of Bahadurgarh district of Rajasthan. The passenger, Vinod Kumar Joshi of Uttarakhand fell down from the bus near the Tribune Chowk and got injured. He was alighting from the bus when the driver accelerated and he fell down.
