Hooda wants diaspora to invest in Haryana New Delhi, January 9 Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda called upon the Indian diaspora to become “partners” in the growth model of Haryana. Inviting the Indians living abroad to Haryana to see the development of the state, Hooda said the state was according special facilitation to them. “Up to 10 per cent of the industrial plots have been reserved for NRIs, a foreign investment and NRI cell has been created to guide, advise and address problems faced by NRIs and PIOs relating to property, marital discord and law and order,” Hooda said. The state was a land of opportunity and enterprise, he said, adding that it already had strong industrial infrastructure, which was further being strengthened through development of new industrial model townships, industrial estates and expansion of the existing estates. “Many multinational companies are operating from Gurgaon. There are over 1,000 projects with foreign technical and financial collaboration in the state. 87 per cent of the total investments in Haryana are from the private sector,” Hooda said. He said to encourage entrepreneurship, the base of education and technical training was being strengthened, while separately the per capita expenditure on health had increased by about 300 per cent.
