Doctor booked for immigration fraud
Tribune News Service

Jalandhar, November 7
A known physician of the city, Dr Balraj Gupta, is once again in news. Having been booked for fraud, he has been on the run for the past two days.

Running an immigration company at New Jawahar Nagar, the doctor has been booked under Sections 406 and 420 of the IPC on a complaint by a Ludhiana-based man for duping him on the pretext of sending his son abroad. The police said the complainant had alleged that Dr Gupta had neither returned his money nor sent his son abroad. Gupta has been booked along with Deepali Srivastva, running the immigration company.

The police added that raids had been conducted to arrest the doctor, but with no success as yet.
