Ropar-Phagwara road to be widened

Nawanshahr: An 82 km stretch of Ropar-Nawanshahr-Banga-Phagwara road will be widened at a cost of Rs 1,482 crore. After the project is completed, the road will have four lanes. Tenders are to be invited for the project by December 10. Deputy Commissioner Anindita Mitra said this while presiding over a meeting held to fix the prices of land to be acquired. — OC
