Divali shoppers choke city roads

PGI exam racket: 15 remanded in police custody

1,200 cops to remain on their toes

More than 1,200 policemen and 400 personnel of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) would be deployed on roads to make sure that nothing goes wrong during the festive season. Festive season: Traffic goes haywire in Panchkula

Due to the ongoing festive season, heavy traffic congestion was witnessed on most of the trafficlight points in Panchkula. Bumper to bumper traffic was witnessed at the Sector-7/18, Sector-11/15 dividing road, Tank Chowk, Mansa Devi Complex T-intersection and at Tawa chowk.

It’s a long weekend for many

With Divali falling on this Tuesday, it will be a long weekend for many. Many people had already taken leave on Monday to get four consecutive days to enjoy with family and friends. Youth run over by truck, dies

A recklessly driven truck claimed life of a 27-year-old youth of Kalka last night. According to police sources, the victim has been identified as Abhilash Negi, alias Rishu, a resident of Guga Mari of Tagra Kali Ram village adjacent to Kalka, was crushed to death by a speeding truck when he was riding on his motorcycle.
