compendium: Additional Chief Secretary, power-cum-chairman, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL), Ajit M Sharan, released a compendium of recruitment and promotion policy of all categories of employees at the 89th meeting of the board of directors of the HPGCL held on Saturday. MD of the HPGCL Anurag Agarwal said the compendium had been published for the first time since formation of the HPGCL. These compendiums were being uploaded on the HPGCL website

16 arrested: The police has arrested 16 persons for gambling. A police party raided at the Chatargarh Patti area in Sirsa and arrested six persons and recovered Rs 49,180 from them. In Kharia village, the police raided two different places in the village and arrested seven persons. The police has recovered Rs 11,620 from them. In another raid at Kalanwali, the police nabbed three persons and recovered Rs 10,815 from them.
