Cash, jewellery stolen: Rs 30,000 in cash and some jewellery were stolen from a house situated on the Naruana road here. The complainant in the case, Harjinder Kaur, said some unidentified persons entered her house and decamped with cash and gold jewellery. The police has registered a case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC at the Canal Colony police station.

Awarded: Hotel Comfort Inn Tulip Heights, a venture of Mittal Group, has been declared as the Best Hotel amongst all the 28 hotels of the Choice India Group in the country. The Comfort Inn, Mumbai, was the recipient of this award last year. The award was received by the group on behalf of Rajinder Mittal at a ceremony held in the city of Silver Spring, USA, recently.
