Bathinda, July 31
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bathinda, Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill today visited the Saanjh Kendra at the Civil Lines police station where he held a meeting with the members of the Kendra. The SSP assured of extending all possible help to the 21-member committee of Saanjh Kendra.

The committee comprising NGOs, prominent people and others has been formed to help in resolving various issues pertaining to the welfare of the people.

Civil Lines SHO Gurdev Bhalla said the SSP honoured the members of the committee, Bhupinder Kumar Mangla, Narinder Singh Duggal, Jaswant Singh, Jagpal Singh and Saanjh Kendra in-charge ASI Kuldeep Singh.

Bhalla said the SSP also planted a sapling at the police station and said all possible help should be extended to the complainants visiting the Kendra. Co-convener of the committee, Kamal Mehta, said every member would get an identity card. He said the SSP assured to get a grant of Rs 30,000 released every month to run the Saanjh Kendra.
