CM’s directive
to officials: Chief Minister PK Dhumal on Saturday directed officials to view atrocities against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes seriously so that the errant were punished and there was deterrence against discrimination against these communities. He was addressing the state-level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting held here under his chairmanship on Saturday.Tourism conclave: Chief Minister PK Dhumal will inaugurate a tourism conclave and Shimla mega mart here on Sunday with participants from several countries likely to attend the meet. Dr Arun Kumar, Director, Tourism, said on Saturday that the tourism industry in the state had been given high priority and the government had developed an appropriate infrastructure for its development. products at the Shimla mega mart. Limit enhanced: The state government has enhanced the limit of the creamy layer from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4.5 lakh so that more beneficiaries of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) can avail of the benefit of the scheme meant for them.
