Satbir Singh, another resident, pointed out that the MC and JIT officials need to sort out the cattle problem. “The MC officials must ensure that there are no dairies within the city areas. The JIT officials, on the other hand, need to take up the matter with the MC or get a wall constructed on the backside to prevent the entry of animals”, he lamented. Assa Singh, who had come to graze his cattle, claimed that dairy farmers in the area were awaiting an award from JIT as their land was in the process of being acquired for the setting up Surya Enclave Extension. SE, JIT, Mukul Soni, said that a pact had been signed last month with the residents’ society of Surya Enclave for the upkeep of 14 parks in the colony. “The maintenance has been entrusted with the society which will be reimbursed Rs 1.30 per sq metre per month from the JIT,” the SE said.
