Fraudulent Online Transfer Requests
Sirsa, June 17 Vijayender Kumar, Director, Secondary Education, Haryana, said today that such teachers, who had not applied for their transfers and their requests had been registered wrongly or otherwise by some other persons, could inform the department through email. He said such teachers could send their objections or corrections at edutransferhry@gmail.com up to 5 pm till June 19. The department had introduced the online transfer application submission system for the convenience of teachers during the current academic session according to which teachers submitted their transfer requests online. However, several teachers in Sirsa and Fatehabad had complained that some others had submitted transfer requests on their behalf without their knowledge. Such complaints, the teachers maintained, had come from other districts of Haryana too. Teachers alleged that to submit an online request for seeking transfer, all that was needed was the date of birth and employee ID of the teacher. This, they alleged, was easily available to others on the seniority list available online and also in the office records. The Tribune had published two news reports in this regard. Sirsa SP Satinder Kumar Gupta had asked the cyber crime cell of the district police to inquire into the complaints of some unscrupulous elements submitting online requests for others without their knowledge. |
Newborn dies as woman delivers on ward floor
Rohtak, June 17 Kiran, wife of Pradeep hailing from Sundana village, gave birth to a baby girl on the floor in ward No 2 of the Gynaecology Department. She had reported at the Emergency Ward this morning, complaining of acute labour pains. She was admitted immediately but was asked to be shifted to ward No 2 of the Gynaecology Department. “Kiran was taken to the ward in acute labour pains but there was none to help her go to the delivery room,” said Pradeep, husband. While Kiran was awaiting her shifting to the delivery room with no doctor or nurse around to help her, she delivered the baby in the ward. The baby had died by the time she was attended to by doctors, it is claimed. Alleging negligence on the part of the hospital staff, Pradeep alleged that a woman employee not only misbehaved with his wife but also failed to help Kiran shift to the ward from the emergency. The delay on the part of the hospital staff resulted in the child’s delivery at an unsafe spot and her death, he alleged. A complaint has been lodged. While doctors of the ward concerned have denied any negligence in this connection, Dr SS Sangwan, Vice-Chancellor of the Health University managing the PGIMS, was not available for his version. Kin of a woman patient had staged a demonstration against doctors a few days back when a newborn had died in mysterious circumstances. |
