RSPM down but still higher than permissible limit

Fogging from June 15, but where are the machines?

Municipal Corporation (MC) councillors have complained that they have neither been given manual fogging machines bought by the MC in April nor given a demonstration on the use of the machines. This, when the MC authorities say that fogging will start from June 15 and the machines will be handed over to the councillors before that.

MC razes building under construction

The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation demolished an under construction building near Deepak Cinema here today. The building was being constructed in violation of rules without getting its site map approved by the MC.Assistant Town Planner (ATP) Kamaljit Kaur said: “The owners of the under construction building were warned many times in advance, but they didn't pay any heed to our warnings. That is why we demolished the building today.”

Missing man found dead in canal

The body of a youth, who was missing since Tuesday, was found in Sidhwan Canal near Beeja village here today.The victim was identified as Amit Kumar (28). He was working at a drug store near Mint Gumeri Chowk, Model Town, and went missing on May 31 when he had gone to give medicines to a patient in a private multi-specialty hospital in the Model Town area.
