Brazen attack on family near DSP office; 1 held

Panic gripped the Tehsil Road area here today when over 12 persons attacked a baptised Sikh, tearing off his clothes and manhandling him. The attackers did not even spare the victim’s family and assaulted his wife and two children.
Girl abducted 3 days ago found in sedated condition
Ludhiana, May 7
A 14-year-old girl, who was abducted from a factory unit on the Bahadurke road on May 4, was found lying unconscious on a roadside with her hands and legs tied. The girl sustained injuries on her head and bruises on hands and legs. She was found from the same spot from where she was abducted three days ago.

A mother gives to her child the most precious gift -- life, but 80-year-old Krishna Monga gave this gift twice to her daughter Sunita. The gutsy mother donated her kidney to save her daughter’s life while the latter had a renal failure. Unfortunately, her sacrifice could not save her child.

Reimbursement for govt employees

(DMCH) here, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to reimburse medical expenses of government employees and their dependants incurred here.
ATM broken before inauguration
Ludhiana, May 7
Before bank authorities could formally inaugurate the ATM of the State Bank of India
(SBI) located at Kaser Gunj Mandi, the thieves broke the machine, but failed to take away the cash.
However, this incident embarrassed bank authorities, who cancelled the programme minutes before the formal inauguration ceremony.
Bathinda make Ludhiana struggle
