Cong, NCP clinch deal
Swearing-in likely tomorrow
New Delhi, November 5
Differences over power sharing between the Congress and the NCP have finally been sorted out. The two parties will meet Maharashtra Governor SC Jamir tomorrow to stake claim,  while the swearing-in ceremony of the new government is expected to take place on Saturday.

Rs 20 wheat MSP hike upsets farmers
New Delhi, November 5
The Centre today hiked the minimum support price of wheat by Rs 20 a quintal, an increase that failed to satisfy the farmers who termed the “meagre” hike as the “cruelest joke” played on them by the government at a time when costs of production were skyrocketing.

The government today more than doubled the budget for the 2010 Commonwealth Games to Rs1,620 crore from the earlier Rs 767 crore.
