Taking a cue from the persistent queries being received by the board over different postulates specially grading system, which is to be implemented from this month, a special orientation programme will be organised to acquaint the institution heads on how to implement it.

80 units of blood donated
Chandigarh, October 5
The NSS unit of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy organised a blood donation camp in memory of Late S Bharpur Singh, former secretary of the Sikh Educational Society, on his second death anniversary. The camp was inaugurated by S Gurdev Singh Brar, president of the society. Principal Jaswinder Kaur donated blood to encourage students for the noble cause. Students and staff of the college donated over 80 units blood. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre, Sector 37.
A free blood sugar testing camp was also organised by the Global Medical Centre. —

Students hold rally

Students of GMSSS, Sector 16, took out a rally against female foeticide today.
Saroj Mittal, DEO, flagged off the rally wherein students and teachers raised slogans and carried placards depicting ill-effects of the skewed sex ratio. A similar rally was taken out by students of GMSSS, Sector-10, which was flagged off by DEO Chanchal Singh.
