Karnik is SASO of Western Air Command

Air Marshal Ajay Shriniwas Karnik has taken over as the Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) of the strategically important Western Air Command. He takes over from Air Marshal Paramjit Singh Bhangu, who has been elevated as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South-Western Air Command at Gandhinagar.

Indira Colony Murder
Accused remanded in 3-day police custody
Chandigarh, October 2
A local court today sent Babloo, accused in the Indira Colony murder case, to three-day police custody. Babloo was arrested yesterday and was produced before duty magistrate Mahesh Kumar today. He is charged with murdering Tej Bahadur, alias Kallu, of Indira Colony following a brawl recently. Following the murder, major violence sparked off in the colony after the crowd ran amok and some miscreants also tried to play up the whole incident as a communal outburst.
