‘Chaarpai’ provides grand finale to theatre festival

An immaculate staging of a Hindi play “Chaarpai” by Nat Bundhele group, Bhopal, provided the grand finale to the weeklong fourth TFT festival organised by the local Theatre for Theatre ensemble in collaboration with NZCC, DPR Haryana and Chandigarh at Tagore Theatre here today.

Silence zones? Hardly

It looks the traffic police has turned a deaf ear to the silence zones in the city. For, even as a substantial area of the city comes under the silence zone, the traffic police has hardly ever initiated any action or launched a drive to book motorists using horns in these areas that include hospitals and educational institutions.

Buses impounded for wrong parking

900 take part in musical play

Carmel Convent School organised their Golden Jubilee annual function today. Over 260 students sang in a choir and 900 students participated in the musical play. The 60’x18’ huge stage was managed by sound and light professionals from Delhi, who brought audience face to face with the Egyptian world of Pharaoh, chariots, Ishmaelite, Jacob and his sons and Joseph's dreams.
