Monkey menace in city area
Three residents bitten
Ludhiana, August 18
Monkey menace looms large at Dugri part I these days. Three stray monkeys have created panic among the area residents who feel scared while coming out from their houses during morning. These monkeys have bitten three residents, including a school going kid, in the past few days. The residents lodged a written complaint to the municipal corporation recently, which washed its hands off from the problem saying it was the forest or wildlife department’s duty to apprehend the monkeys and they could not do much.

Naveen Kumar Noni was allegedly murdered by a few persons in Shivpuri area today evening. He was standing outside his house when a group of five to seven persons surrounded and stabbed him several times.
