Lookout notice for Bansal, businessman

The Chandigarh police today issued a lookout notice for Haryana’s additional advocate general Sanjeev Bansal and Delhi-based businessman Ravinder Singh, who are wanted in a case involving the delivery of Rs 15 lakh at the residence of a Punjab and Haryana High Court judge.

Sushil’s kin stage dharna

Pbi dept students go on hunger strike

Students of department of Punjabi, Panjab University, proceeded on an indefinite hunger strike seeking rollback of the decision of university authorities to scrap internal assessment in the department.
The students also demanded the university to reconsider its
decision to make two subjects, which were earlier optional,
compulsory.

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has directed a financing company, Royal Capital Services, and its owner Sanjeev Kochhar to pay compensation of Rs 25,000 to a resident of
Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The forum has also asked the company to pay Rs 2,200 as cost of litigation.
