Monsoon has been vigorous in west Rajasthan and active in east Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Sunibhaji 2 and Kahu, Sujanpurtira and Shimla 1 each; Punjab: Nangal 1; East Rajasthan: Begu 21, Bakani, Jhalrapatan and Kotdi 13 each, Arnod, Chhotisadri and Devgarh 11 each, Baran 10, Anta and Sirohi 9 each, Bhungra, Banera, Danpur, Jhalawar, Pachpahar and Pindwara 8 each, Bundi, Kareda, Kachola, Kishanganj, Nimbahera, Pratapgarh and Rashmi 7 each, Barisadri, Chhabra, Dungla and Kesarpura 6 each, Atru, Aklera, Banswara, Bagore, Bhilwara, Hamirgarh and Mandalgarh 5 each, Asnawar, Badla, Bijoliya, Bonli, Mangrol and Veja 4 each, Dariabad, Indergarh, Kanba Kherwara and Piploo 3 each and Kota, Lalsot, Rajgarh and Udaipur AP 2 each; West Rajasthan: Raniwara 9, Siswana 8, Jalore 6, Ahore, Bagoda, Balotra, Jaswantpura, Ramgarh, Sayla and Sumerpur 3 each and Bali, Desuri and Sanchore 2 each; West Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 11: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east and south west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region except east Uttar Pradesh where it may be isolated.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and south west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 11: Generally coudy sky with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of August 11: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rainfall activity over south Rajasthan is likely to decrease. No large change elsewhere.
