Heavy rain may lash region

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at many places in west Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Chandigarh 5, Naraingarh and Tajewala 3 each and Pehowa 1, Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath 5, Bharwain 4, Bhutar and Nagrotasurian 3 each, Nahan and Rampur Bushahar 2 each and Berthin, Barsar, Guler, Kasol, Paonta and Pandoh 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra and Patti 9 each, Jammu 7, Batote 5, Bhaderwah and Srinagar 4 each, Bhoond and Basali 3 each, Banihal 2 and Pahalgam and Quazigund 1 each, Punjab: Madhopur and Shahpurkandi 7 each, Ranjitsagardam 4, Nagal 3 and Ropar 2, East Rajasthan: Arnod 6, Arthuna, Ajmer, Dabla, Garhi and Loharia 5 each, Gogunda, Sallumber 4 each, Badnore, Bhopalsagar, Bagidora, Danpur, Dariabad, Jhadol, Ladnu, Mavli, Sikar, Sajangarh, Salopat and Wati 3 each, Alwar, Bagore, Bijoliya, Degana, Didwana, Gyangarh, Hurda, Kareda, Karauli and Laxmangarh 2 each and Aspur, Banswara, Jagpura, Makrana and Udaipur A.P. 1 each, West Rajasthan: Desuri 7, Bali 6, Churu 5, Sumerpur 4, Bhadra, Luni, Pali, Raipur, Sujangarh and Taranagar 3 each, Nohar 2 and Nokha and Marwar Junction 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Palliakalan 1, and Uttaranchal: Tehri 7, Dehra Dun 6, Bausan, Pantnagar and New Tehri 2 each and Haripur, Joshimath, Rishikesh, Srinagar and Uttarkashi 1 each.
