Kang for joint ventures in dairy farming

The Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Minister, Mr Jagmohan Singh Kang, exhorted young dairy farmers to set up joint ventures for the processing and marketing of the milk and milk products with a view to enhance their income from the dairy farming.

Jasjeet Kaur has brought laurels for Mata Ganga College for Women,
Kottan, near Khanna, by bagging first position in five districts of Punjab, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, Moga, Muktsar and Ferozpore in BA-III (honours in economics). She secured 72 per cent marks.
Principal Manjinder Kaur told TNS that the college result in respect of
BA-I, BA-II, BA-III and B.Com-I, B.Com-II and B.Com-III is 100 per cent.

Students of MA-I of Guru Nanak National College here have performed well in the annual examination conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh, in April.
Eleven MA-I Political Science students secured over 55 per cent marks. Rama Goswami stood first in the college by securing 63.5 per cent marks.
Dr Bakshi joins varsity

Dr M.P.S. Bakshi has joined as Head, Department of Animal Nutrition of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.
He has to his credit 88 research publication in international and national journals of repute, 17 articles and technical bulletins, participated in 46 conferences held in India and abroad, got best research paper award, 7 Punjab Science Congress (2004), held at GNDU, Amritsar, in February 2004.

Redressal Forum has directed the Managing Director of Deepak Hospital,
Sarabha Nagar, and Dr Baljit Kaur Bagga of Deepak Hospital to pay
compensation of Rs 75,000 to a aggrieved consumer, whose baby had died
in their hospital after delivery allegedly due to deficient services.
