Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh, rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.6°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 9: Rain/thundershowers likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana and Rajasthan. Isolated thunder-squalls are likely in east Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 9: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 41°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of June 9: Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.
