Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in west Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Sundernagar 1 and west Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere, Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 45.4ºC recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 29, 2006: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan.
