Rainfall: Rain/thundershower have occurred at many places in Haryana and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Delhi Ridge 2 and Ambala and New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjungs) 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Uttaranchal, below normal in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.4°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 23: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan. Isolated thunder-squalls are likely in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 23: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of Rain/thundershowers in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
