Kidnapping turns out to be revenge story

Rain fails to bring down temperature

Lawyer jailed for faking SC order
Chandigarh, March 7
A local court today sentenced Amritsar-based lawyer Arun Madan to four years’ imprisonment for faking a stay order of the Supreme Court. The lawyer, who was today produced in the court, is already undergoing imprisonment in Patiala Jail.

Task force constituted to check encroachment
Chandigarh, March 7

After failing to check encroachments effectively on prime public land in the past, the Chandigarh Administration has now worked out a new mechanism to deal with such violations on a daily basis.

The city has been divided among the SDMs of Central, East and South for the purpose of detection and removal of encroachments.
