Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 1, East Rajasthan Rawatbhata 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.6°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 9.0°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 7: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in east Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 7: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development in some areas. Mist in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 32°C and 13°C respectively.
