Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
