Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperature rose appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.4°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.4°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of 26th October 2005: Isolated rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 26th October 2005: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 30C and 15C respectively.
