BVM School boxer strikes gold

Shri Ram Sikka, a student of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School, Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana, got the better of Manpreet Singh of Government Senior Secondary School,
Machhiwara, to win a gold medal in the Ludhiana District Inter-School Boxing Championship organised by the Education Department on September 5 at Khanna.

Women’s games begin

Vedika Thapar of Kundan Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Civil Lines, won a gold and a silver medal on the opening day of the two-day Ludhiana District Women’s Games which began at Guru Nanak Stadium here today.
Guru Nanak college judokas bag overall trophy

Judokas of the local Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujjarkhan Campus, Model Town, accumulated 23.5 points to bag the overall trophy in the Panjab University Inter-college Judo Championship held at Chandigarh, recently.
Giving this information, Ms Manju Chawla, Principal of the college, said the girls brought laurels to their alma mater by clinching seven medals, including two gold and four silver and one bronze, during this meet.
