Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Himachal Pradesh: Pandoh 2 and Shimla 1, East Rajasthan: Mandrayal 6, Jhunjhunu 2 and Bari and Khetri 1 each, West Rajasthan: Churu 3, East Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow (control room) and Khadda 7 each, Birdghat and Bhatpurwaghat 6 each, Gorakhpur, Hanumansetu, Mukhlishpur and Regoli 5, each, Basti and Bahraich 4 each, Bani, Elginbridge, Kanpur and Neemsar 3 each, Ayodhya, Balrampur, Lucknow A.P. and Shardanagar 2 each and Kakardharighat 1, West Uttar Pradesh: Ankinghat 1 and Uttaranchal: Rudraprayag 4, Rishikesh 2 and Hardwar, Pantnagar, Roorkee and Srinagar 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 46.5C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 25: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana. Isolated thunder-squalls are likely in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 25: Partly cloudy sky with dust haze. Duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 42°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of June 25: Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
