Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Rajasthan, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: East Rajasthan: Raipur and Sarada 4 each, Amargarh, Baghor, Jhalawar and Karoi 3 each, Masuda, Pirawa, Sawar and Sawai Madhpour 2 each and Atru, Aklera, Dug, Gangdhar, Jahajpur, Kekri, Nathdwara, Pratapgarh, Railmogra and Sarara 1 each, West Rajasthan: Bali 3, Jaiselmer and Rohat 2 each and Ahore, Jodhpur. Sojat and Sumerpur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Barabanki and Bhinga 3 each, Chandradeep Ghat 2 and Bansi, Bani, Gorakhpur and Kakardharighat 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehradun 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan, fell appreciably in Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 46.7°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 24: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 24: Partly cloudy sky with dust haze. Thundry development accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 43°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of June 24: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km ph is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
