Sojat and Sumerpur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Barabanki and Bhinga 3 each, Chandradeep Ghat 2 and Bansi, Bani, Gorakhpur and Kakardharighat 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehradun 1.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan, fell appreciably in Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 46.7°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
