Jaundice cases reported

Over48 cases of jaundice have been reported from various areas of
Hadiabad sub-town, mohalla Dugglan, Kumraman, Sudhiran, mohalla, main
bazar’s residential areas and local Adarsh Nagar and its adjoining

Life term for murder
Ropar, January 22
A resident of Saulakhiyan village, Swaran Singh, was sentenced to life imprisonment yesterday by a local court in a case of murder. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on the accused. In a case of default in payment of fine, the accused will have to undergo an additional jail term of six months.
